This week, we talk about something that affects not only Outside the Cinema, but mostly all of the shows that were associated with popsyndicate. On August first, there was a change at the site. Stefan stepped down and left the site in the hands of Alex. We were assured that we were in good hands with Alex. A statement, through no fault of Stafan's ultimately proved to be false. When the popsyndicate 2.0 was launched, the first thing that we all noticed, was the total and complete lack of support for the podcasts that were previously associated with it. There was communication from Alex. However, it was vague and did not address our concerns. We were told that podcasts weren't viable and the forums were antiquated and elitist. The straw that broke the camel's back was, after all that, Alex told us he planned to launch a branded popsyndicate podcast.
So, we quit.
This show is the conversation following that fallout. We hear form the hosts of many shows that contributed to popsyndicate, including Bionicast, Gleekast, Night of the Living Podcast, The Gentlemen's Guide To Midnight Cinema, Chinstroke Versus Punter, Are You Serious, and Cinema Diabolica. What you will hear in this show is the re-birth of a community and the commitment to build something better and more supportive. We hope you enjoy this behind the scenes look at the world of podcasting.
OTC Live Serbian Film Review July 4th, 2010
First and foremost, a warning; If you have not seen “A Serbian Film,” this show will ruin everything about it. Not only will the plot be revealed, the discussion will be outside of the norm for OTC. Violence, rape, murder, torture, and sodomy are all things that we have talked about in the past. However, not like this. There are even some real life situations discussed. This is not a show for the faint of heart.
Remember, massive spoilers are contained in the show. From this point on, it’s your own fault if the movie is ruined for you.

“A Serbian Film” is the story of Milos a former porn star that gets pulled back in for one last acting job. The pay is unbelievable and the Director, Vukmir has a vision. Unfortunately, as the old saying goes, “If it looks too good to be true….” Soon, Milos is enveloped in a world he wants no part of and everyone he loves, including his wife, son and brother will be pulled into the madness as well.
