Outside The Cinema is a weekly podcast that focuses on to cult movies of all kinds. We feature films running the gamut from Horror to Exploitation to Noir and Martial Arts and back. You know that random video you got on VHS from some random mom and pop video store when you were 12? Yeah, we covered it. So sit back and enjoy the OTC ride. Tune into our Live shows every Sunday at 6pm EST.
This episode features reviews of Vampire in Venice and Drop Dead Rock. But first, we talk about our Top six Films that should have had (better) video games.
Drop Dead Rock: A down and out rock 'n roll band, Hindenburg, kidnap their favorite British rock star Spazz-O, and hold him hostage so he will listen to their music and make them famous. The problem is, Spazz-O's ex-porn star wife Holly Everest and his back-stabbing manager, Dave Donovan, can't wait to get their hands on his fortune, and have hired a hitman to do him in. Thanks to the media feeding frenzy, Spazz-O's career is hotter than ever. Enter media mogul Thor Sturmundrang with a big advance check. Now Spazz-O is worth more alive than dead. Dave must outwit the bumbling band, clumsy cops, ruthless record execs and terrifying terrorists to get his just reward.
Vampire in Venice: Professor Paris Catalano goes to Venice to investigate the last known appearance of Nosferatu (Klaus Kinski) during the Carnival of 1786. Catalano seems to think that the vampire is searching for a means to put an end to his torment and actually be dead. He stays with a family who, legend says, has the vampire trapped in a tomb in the basement. After a séance "the vampire" appears and then it becomes a question of how do you put the evil back into the box.

This week, we cover two more video nasties, Human Experiments and Night Warning. Our top six list for this week is top six actors you would bring back from the dead and what role you would want them to play.
Human Experiments is the story of country singer Rachel who is arrested and charged with murder and placed in prison. Psychiatric sessions are run by the sadistic Dr. Kline, whose idea of mental health is to erase the patient's personality and completely replace it with a new one through brainwashing.
Th plot of Night Warning is pretty simple; since the death of his parents fourteen years ago, Billy Lynch has been raised by his over-protective aunt Cheryl. But once he turns seventeen, he starts planning his life...without her. He wants to go to college and is dating a girl, Julie. None of this sits well with his aunt, who's lost everyone else in her life and now with her nephew ready to leave, she can't stand the thought of losing him. Murder and one of the most bigoted, hate filled cops fill out the rest of the flick.
It is that time of your again we the boys gather together to discuss their favorite films of the year. Bill and Chris as always are joined by longtime friend Rick of the GGTMC. This year, new blood is welcomed to the round table as Mike White of the Projection Booth podcast weighs in with his picks. We can honestly say that we had a lot of fun doing this show and we can only hope you have as much fun listening.
